It is with great excitement and happiness I share my collaboration with @sarahpickthall from UKs @syncthinking.
A residency for leadership in the disability arts sector was completed with 9 other Australian artists in 2015 and it set up finite development of @_byaccident_ thanks to Sarah’s generous guidance.
Last night I met with the 3 other Australian trainers, Sarah, captioners and sign interpreters in a first meeting ripe with possibilities.
Teaming up across the Pacific Ocean with Canadian counterparts and also those in the UK, this project will forge new pathways across the world for disabled leadership.
@auscouncilarts and @canada.council have enabled this opportunity.
Co facilitating online groups of disabled arts leaders, in Sarah’s words “we’ll be huddling in groups online over 6 months to do group coaching so we’re skilled up in it whilst also talking about Deaf, disabled and neurodiverse leadership today in our societies, creating a powerful force field for change.”
Brimming with anticipation for the honing of new facilitation skills, ripe connections and the dawning of fresh possibilities I turn to face the new day.
Have a great one yourself!
