More to come from today…

Yesterday’s visit to Southern Lost City started with an early dip in Butterfly Falls. This included a sighting of said butterfly however the promised ‘kaleidoscope’ of them will have to wait for another time.

Taking the hike on the path around and up the slope upon which huge ancient pillars of sandstone were perched precariously was definitely an ‘eyes down’ journey for me. I had to stop every now and then so I could raise my gaze and take in the powerful scenes about me.
The giant proof of time worn geological ages was breathtaking. I even saw an ancient river bed or shore line pushed vertically upon a slab. We returned for lunch and then Karl was called away to fight his first wildfire so that was the end of yesterday!
